I have never been so excited to spend money on fuel and toll roads to get out of town to crowded beaches. Hell, im even excited to see the Free State on the way to the coast!

Where you going Billy?
On Friday I'm off to Mozambique. I'm counting the hours.
Durbs for Christmas, a "Going Nowhere Slowly" trip to Plett for a ripper of a new years bash followed by another 9 day GNS trip through the karoo ending in the Pilansburg for a few days.
A balance of family, friends, parties and solitude. Cannot wait.

I usually do Plett, but need more solitudinal [sic?] parties this year. :)

I am. About ten of us. Driving up on Friday.
Cannot. Wait.
Am determined to do it sometime next year with some messy mates. Staying in real buildings or camping?
Well half actually: a rustic beach cottage, with one half open out onto the sea. I know, poor us. :) But we will go up north to the islands and camp for a couple of days. Mozam is definitely one of my favourite places, less the millions of South Africans that head to Ponto do Ouro. (I haven't been there.) We're heading to Barra near Inhambane.
i am very jealous! Sounds awesome.
Take it easy on those roads, a friend of mine had a bad accident a few years back and is in a wheel chair. The journeys part of the holiday, no rush!

Billy - That's terrible! We will indeed. Apparently you can only drive at 80 km/h and 60km/h through the villages. So hopefully we'll stick to these....
